Some of the persons against wanting to ban the book Women:Masters or Mothers are women.
These persons are senior.
Being a woman and being a senior person does not mean what ever you say has absolute validity and you can go against the scriptures and ban them.

Prabhupada: Politics, diplomacy, fraud, cheating. These things are the general qualification of the western people. Do you admit or not?

Basu Ghosh Das Just now I posted the following on the SP disciples conference where I also posted the above. It may apply to something I specifically wrote there, but it needs to be posted here as well for clarification - to give Panchagauda Prabhu (Peter Nicoloff)'s side of the story:

"Panchagauda Prabhu (Peter Nicoloff) just telephoned me to clarify that it was the VEB that decided that "just to keep the peace" the book should not be sold on the temple property. He said he's got 20 hate mails that he won't reply to, and he is neither for or against the book. He said "it's a crazy, crazy kartik" and there are so many agitations and other things he has to deal with. He doesn't have time to write here, but he saw my comment on the VEB/VEC, (I think it was herein above) and wanted to clarify."

Isvara Dasa I also had a small discussion this morning withPancagauda Das Nicoloff and he made his position clear which is quite reasonable. Iskcon a big house with lots of hotheads. It's not easy tending to demands of one and all, especially when it comes to dealing with the senior members. The management definitely takes considerations of the concerns of senior matajis and we should not discount that.

He is neither for or against the book

He says here that he neither for nor against this book.
The Vrindavan Executive Board was responsible for this ban.
Panchagauda Das was and is the head of Vrindavan Iskon Temple when this happened and did not take any sides, as he states to Basu Ghosha Das. As a leader in iskcon it is PGDas's responsibility to analyze a situation and figure out which option is the most pleasing to Krishna. Maunam sammati lakshanam is the injunction of the scriptures that suits his case. He was silent when he should have allowed the book to be sold. Thus, since he blasphemed the scriptures when he banned the book to "maintain the peace". The devotees cannot let vox populi decide what is the Truth. एकोपी  वेदवित् धर्मं यम व्यवस्येद्  द्विजोत्तमः । स विज्ञेयः परो धर्मो नअज्ञ्यानामं उदितो अयुतैः ।। १२ -११३
Even that which one brahmana versed in the veda declared to be law, must be considered to have supreme legal force, but not that which is proclaimed by myriads of ignorant men.
The devotees have to abide by the scriptures Bg 16.24

Kadamba Kanana Swami

Manikar Das Brahmachari We are sorry for his health crisis and wish that he recovers quickly. Wasn't he a part of the Vrindavana Executive Board that banned the book Women: Masters or Mothers by Bhakti Vikas Swami?
Did he do something to stop the ban or was he involved in it?
Does anyone know? Krishna knows.

I know something about Pancagauda Das' wife, she is friends with the regular feminists of iskcon. So connect the dots if you can.

Solution:

Remove these 5 persons from your life in all capacities. They were in an elevated position of power within iskcon and they did not defend the scriptures from the attacks of the feminists. This is an gross act of betrayal of Prabhupada. These people have acted in the capacity of non devotees. As it is said, "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends". Our humble self is well aware of the fact that our friends, well wishers and seniors are in the party of these 6 persons. Duly considering that our primary identity is that of iskcon's servants and our secondary identity we are your friend, may you forgive us for saying what we have said. And even if you do not, it matters little.
